Mary O. Francesconi, 55, of 60 Toronita Ave. died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 12, 1948, daughter of Joseph J. and Pearl O. Francoeur Davis, she was a graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School.
At the time of her death, Mrs. Francesconi was a special-needs paraprofessional with the Pittsfield Public Schools, where she had worked for 18 years.
Previously, she was a bookkeeper for the former Shapiro Motors in North Adams.
She attended St. Charles' Church and was a volunteer with the Special Olympics.
Besides her parents, she leaves a son, Robert G. Francesconi of Huntersville, N.C.; a daughter, Karen L. Szlosek of Holyoke; a brother, Steven Davis of Lanesboro; a sister, Tammy Rosier of the Berkshire section of Lanesboro, and two grandchildren. A daughter, Jennifer, died at birth.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary O. Francesconi, who died Thursday, Sept. 25, will be Monday, Sept. 29, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 8. Mrs. Francesconi was also predeceased by a brother, Gregory Davis. She leaves her son-in-law, Shannon M. Szlosek, and her daughter-in-law, Kimberly H. Francesconi. Mary is remembered as being loved by all. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Special Olympics in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
