Antoinette M. Scaduto, 76, of 1385 State Road died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She and her husband, Frank Scaduto, owned and operated the historic Kenmore Guest House in Richmond.
Born in Cairano, province of Avellino, Italy, on Nov. 18, 1926, daughter of Salvatore and Maria Concetta Arace Ditore, she emigrated to the United States when she was 4 and was a 1944 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Scaduto was employed as a bookkeeper at Berkshire Ear, Nose & Throat in Pittsfield for 17 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Christian Assembly Church.
She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and playing the piano, singing and reading poetry.
She and her husband celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary July 5.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Deborah A. Bossidy of Ashby and Melanie M. Masdea of Massachusetts; a sister, Clementa Petruzella, and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Antoinette M. (Ditore) Scaduto will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 10 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by services at Christian Assembly Church, 850 Williams St. The Rev. Joseph Beretta will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at Richmond Center Cemetery.
Calling hours will be tomorrow, Sept. 23, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Lovingly survived by a granddaughter, Kathleen M. Bossidy of Ashby, and by several nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews.
She was the beloved owner and operator with her husband, Frank, of the historic Kenmore Guest House in Richmond and was known for her hospitality. Donations may be made to Community Health of Richmond and West Stockbridge, State Road, Richmond, MA 01254 or in c/o the funeral home. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leon and Samuel Ditore.
