Ariel Laurent Allison

Ariel Laurent Allison, 13, of 228 Francis Ave. died Sunday afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle and bicycle accident earlier in the day.

Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 5, 1990, son of Husie Joyner and Latanyia Allison, both of Boston, he was in the eighth grade at Reid Middle School, having just transferred there from Herberg Middle School.

An avid basketball player, he enjoyed bicycle riding, video games, and spending time with his friends.

Besides his parents, he leaves his aunt, Monique Allison, with whom he resided; a brother, Cameron Kazimierczak of Pittsfield; two sisters, Aris Allison and Aries Allison, both of Pittsfield; his maternal grandmother, Vera Allison Taylor of Pittsfield; his maternal grandfather, Dwight Jackson of Bedford, Ind.; his maternal stepgrandfather, Robert Taylor of Pittsfield; his paternal grandmother, Barbara Joyner of Boston; his paternal grandfather, Husie Ward of Boston, and his maternal great-grandmother, Mitty Armstrong of Bedford, Ind.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Ariel Laurent Allison, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, also leaves his aunt, Bonita Joyner; four uncles, Russell Jack Allison and “E” (Ernest), both of Pittsfield, and Frederick Joyner and Elmer Joyner; his cousin, Deja Jackson; his godparents, Jessie Thomas, Jeanne Kazimierczak and Derrick Gillenwater; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral for Ariel will be conducted Friday, Sept. 19, at 1 at Reigning Love Church, 190 West St., by the Rev. Philip Thurmond, pastor. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pittsfield Boys’ and Girls’ Club in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St.
