Concetta Mary Kellar, 87

June 23, 2003

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Concetta Mary "Connie" Kellar, 87, of 52 Burke Ave. died June 23, 2003, at Berkshire Place on South Street, where she had resided since January 2002.

Born in Pittsfield on May 17, 1916, daughter of Vincenzo and Josephine Mauro Campagna, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. She also graduated from the former Pittsfield Secretarial School and the former Berkshire Business College.

Mrs. Kellar was employed as a secretary by GE in the power transformer marketing department for 26 years.

She was a communicant of Mount Carmel and Sacred Heart churches. She enjoyed painting pictures.

Her husband, Peter P. Kellar, whom she married April 12, 1958, died Dec. 24, 1983.

She leaves three brothers, James J. Campagna and Robert J. Campagna, both of Pittsfield, and Alfred J. Campagna of Largo, Fla.; four sisters, Santina M. Valenti, Laura J. Slater and Mary R. Slater, all of Pittsfield, and Helen S. Alberti of Salt Lake City, and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Ernest S. Campagna in 2000 and her beloved sister Agnes D. Campagna Bilia in 1992.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Kellar will be Friday at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
