James C. Speller

James C. Speller, 68, of 11 Cherry St. died Monday morning at Springside of Pittsfield.
Born in Windsor, N.C., on Oct. 10, 1934, son of Bradshaw and Ophelia Holley Speller, he attended schools in Windsor until the age of 13, when he moved to New York City and attended schools there.
Mr. Speller was employed by Brown and Sullivan Inc. for eight years.
In his younger years, he was employed as a corrections officer for the state of New York.
He was a member of Price AME Zion Church.
He leaves a daughter, Gail Brunson of New York City, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service celebrating the life of James C. Speller will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be private. FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Speller enjoyed helping people. He leaves many close friends in the Pittsfield area.
