Seigelinde Ingrid Leach, 61, formerly of 44 Yorkshire Ave., died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
She had been a resident of Hillcrest Commons for 2 1/2 years.
Born in Aussig, Germany, on Sept. 22, 1941, daughter of Aramid and Elizabeth Wiemholdt Schmidt, she graduated from high school there.
She moved to Portsmouth, N.H., in 1977 and to Pittsfield in 1983.
She and her husband, Robert F. Leach Jr., were married Sept. 21, 1968, in West Germany, where he was stationed with the Air Force. Her husband died Feb. 1, 2001.
She leaves a son, Robert Leach of Fort Dix, N.J.; two brothers, Winfred Schmidt of West Germany and Edgar Schmidt of Las Vegas, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Seigelinde I. Leach died in Pittsfield on Tuesday, June 17, 2003. The funeral will be conducted Friday, June 20, at 2 at DWYER FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor of St. Charles’ Church.
Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, Friday, from noon until the service.
