PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Isabelle B. O'Brien, 81, of 32 Lakewood Drive died June 10, 2003, at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in North Egremont on April 9, 1922, daughter of Henry E. and Hattie Murphy Brewer, she was a 1940 graduate of the former Searles High School in Great Barrington.
Mrs. O'Brien provided child care for many area families and was a sales clerk in her younger years.
She was a member of First Congregational Church of Stockbridge.
Her husband, Marshall R. O'Brien, whom she married Dec. 9, 1945, died Dec. 20, 1997.
She leaves a son, Dennis M. O'Brien of Pittsfield; a daughter, Laura J. Olson of New Milford, Conn.; a brother, John Brewer of Great Barrington; two sisters, Helen Babcock of Lake Okeechobee, Fla., and Hazel E. Brewer of Great Barrington, five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her brother, Harold Brewer, and two sisters, Emma Proper and Freda DeRevere.
FUNERAL NOTICE — There will be no calling hours for Mrs. O'Brien. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, which is handling the arrangements.
