Edith M. Butler

Edith M. Butler, 87, formerly of Columbia Arms, died yesterday morning at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since September.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 8, 1915, daughter of Alfred and Mary Bilodeau Bourassa, she was a graduate of Dalton schools.
Mrs. Butler was a homemaker. At one time, she had been employed by Crane & Co. and by GE.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of the Berkshire Medical Center Auxiliary, where she volunteered for 16 years.
She was also a member of the Pittsfield Senior Center and AARP.
Her husband, George A. Butler, died May 26, 1956.
She leaves two daughters, Donna Martin and Denise M. Wyman, both of Pittsfield, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Edith M. Butler, who died Monday, June 9, 2003, also leaves her son-in-law, Leslie Wyman, and three grandchildren, Scott Martin, Eric Martin and Stacie Martin, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday, June 12, at 9:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at Notre Dame Church celebrated by the Rev. Earl A. Hebert, pastor. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dalton. There will be no calling hours.
