Henry T. “Bubby†DeAngelo Adams, 43, of 12 Hillside Ave. died Wednesday afternoon at the home of his sister, Claudette Roberts, with whom he resided at 276 Columbus Ave.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 12, 1960, son of Henry L. and Robenia Greathouse Adams, he was a 1978 graduate of Taconic High School.
Most recently, he had been employed in maintenance and security at Hancock Shaker Village.
He had also worked at Reed Street Auto Body and as a truck driver for Van-Pak in Springfield.
Mr. Adams was a member of the Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church. He enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, detailing cars, the outdoors and gardening.
He leaves his wife, the former Ann M. Spaniol, whom he married Dec. 21, 1988.
Besides his wife and sister, he leaves a son, Jordan M.H. Adams of Pittsfield; two daughters, Fawn N. Adams of Pittsfield and Andrea Adams of North Carolina; three brothers, Curtis H. Sistrunk, Willie F. Sistrunk and James N. Adams, all of Pittsfield; three other sisters, Judy B. Chadwell, Theresa M. Mungin and Cynthia E. Adams, all of Pittsfield; and a granddaughter.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Henry T. “Bubby†DeAngelo Adams, who died Wednesday, May 14, also leaves his son-in-law, Luke Davis, a granddaughter, Mahoganye Davis, and a host of nieces and nephews and many family friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 19, at 2 at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 135 Linden St., with the Rev. Willard H. Durant, pastor emeritus, officiating. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 at the church. The DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
