Rosa A. Sanginetti, 81, of Epworth Arms, 350 West St., died yesterday at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility, where she had resided since 2001.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 15, 1921, daughter of Anthony and Emma Otis Ziter, she was a 1939 graduate of Drury High School.
She moved to Pittsfield in 1950.
She was employed at City Hall in North Adams in the Veterans Department until 1961. She also worked for the Pittsfield Parks Department, GE and Emily’s Snack Bar in Cheshire.
Mrs. Sanginetti was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed foreign travel, cooking, knitting and sewing.
She leaves a daughter, Janet Brennan of Pittsfield; two brothers, Alphonse J. Ziter of Pittsfield and Louis R. Ziter of North Adams; two sisters, Rachel S. Miller of North Adams and Lillian T. Carusotto of Pittsfield, and a granddaughter. She also leaves her former husband, Nicholas Sanginetti of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Rosa A. Sanginetti, 81, died Sunday, April 27, 2003. Beloved mother of Janet Brennan and her husband, John. Beloved grandmother of Jennafer Brennan. Dear sister of Alphonse J. Ziter, Louis R. Ziter, Rachel S. Miller, Lillian J. Carusotto. Additional survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and her former husband, Nicholas Sanginetti.
Calling hours will be tomorrow, April 29, from 3:30 to 6:30 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St. Services and burial will take place at Southview Cemetery, North Adams, at the convenience of the family. She was predeceased by a brother, Deeb Ziter, and four sisters, Rae Conti, Nabeho Skorupski, Emily N. Taglieri and Schevia M. “Shaffy†Lefave.
