Charlotte Putnam Beach

Charlotte Putnam Beach, 76, of 145 Connecticut Ave. died Sunday at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center, where she had been a patient for three weeks.
Born in Pittsfield on June 12, 1926, daughter of James M. and Charlotte Rogers Studley, she attended local schools.
A homemaker, she was employed as an inspector by the former Eaton Paper Co. before her marriage.
Mrs. Beach was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
She was a past president and activities director of the Singles Club.
She enjoyed music, sewing and all animals, especially parrots and other birds.
Her first husband, William A. Putnam, whom she married Sept. 4, 1950, died Nov. 13, 1978.
Her husband, Archibald Beach, whom she married Feb. 14, 1987, died May 4, 1991.
She leaves a daughter, Noreen L. Mole of Pittsfield; three sisters, Marjorie I. Putnam, Helen M. Langlois and Mildred S. Putnam, all of Pittsfield; two brothers, Walter M. Studley of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Irving D. Studley of South Yarmouth, and two grandsons.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Charlotte Putnam Beach will be Thursday at noon at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Mary Screiber, missioner of St. Martin’s Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Main Street Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Among survivors are her son-in-law, Stephen V. Mole; her grandsons, Jesse William Mole and Kyle Joseph Mole, and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Edward L. Studley, died in December 1971. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Heart Fund or to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
