John Rybka

John Rybka, 82, of 129 Rockland St., Fall River, died Friday at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River.
He was the father of JoAnn Willis of Pittsfield.
Born in Fall River on Oct. 25, 1920, son of Martin W. and Josephine Dachowska Rybka, he was educated there.
An Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, he achieved the rank of corporal and received several decorations.
Mr. Rybka was employed as a plasterer by McCann Construction Co. in Pawtucket, R.I., for more than 30 years.
He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus’ Church in Fall River and a member of its seniors group. He also was a member of Laborers’ International Union of North America.
He was an avid gardener and polka dancer.
Besides his daughter, he leaves his wife of 54 years, the former Louise T. Dyl; another daughter, Janice R. Partridge of Swansea; a sister, Stasia Severino of New Castle, Del.; and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for John Rybka will be Tuesday at 9 at BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Route 138, Fall River, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Stanislaus’ Church, Rockland Street, Fall River.
Calling hours will be tomorrow, Monday, from 4 to 8. He was predeceased by his siblings, Stella Kirby, Lottie Silvia, Bridget Sefrino, Jennie Alves, Katherine Ferreira, Josephine Urban and Stanley Rybka. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
