Marcia Colleen Nocher, 50, of 2006 East St. died Tuesday evening at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on April 8, 1953, daughter of Marion Slosky Loehr of Pittsfield and the late Andrew Loehr, she attended Pittsfield schools.
Mrs. Nocher was employed for 18 years as assistant human resources director by Hi-Tech Mold and Tool until leaving in March 2002 because of ill health.
She had many interests and enjoyed knitting, especially sweaters, gardening, bingo, computers, astrology, fishing, camping and the outdoors.
Besides her mother, she leaves her husband, Rodney A. Nocher, whom she married April 20, 2002; two sons, Michael Zavattero and Matthew Zavattero, both of Pittsfield; a daughter, Michelle Barbieri of Pittsfield; five brothers, Andrew Loehr of Romona, Calif., Carl and Todd Loehr, both of Pittsfield, Mark Loehr of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Timothy Loehr of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Teresa Landau of Brandywine, Md., and Brenda Vella and Kathryn Barbarotta, both of Pittsfield, two grandchildren, and her former husband, Michael Zavattero of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial service for Marcia Colleen Loehr Nocher, who died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, will be conducted Saturday, April 19, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. William D. Furey. The family will meet friends from noon to 1.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UNICO chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
She also leaves her two grandchildren, Brent Zavattero and Makayla Barbieri. She was predeceased by a brother, Brian Loehr, who died in 1978.
