Marilyn Ann Horne, 69, of 46 Richard Drive and 141 Wading Bird Circle, Naples, Fla., died Monday at Naples Community Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 14, 1933, daughter of John H. and Margaret McKim LaPointe, she was a 1951 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Horne was employed with the Pittsfield Public School System as a paraprofessional at Williams School from 1968 to 1991.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Dalton American Legion Post 155 and VFW Auxiliary 448. She enjoyed bingo and reading, and had spent winters in Florida for 10 years.
She leaves her husband, Earle E. Horne, whom she married in June 1952.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, John D. Horne and Robert E. Horne, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Elaine Thomson of Lanesboro, and six grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Marilyn Ann Horne, who died Monday, March 10, 2003, also leaves her daughter-in-law Kathleen, wife of Robert. The funeral will be Thursday, March 13, at 9:15 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor. Entombment will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be today, Wednesday, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys' and Girls' Club in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
