Margherita R. Gregory, 98, formerly of 423 East Housatonic St., died yesterday at Providence Care Center in Lenox.
Born in Montefia, Italy, on April 24, 1904, daughter of Giuseppe and Marcellena Novarese Roffinella, she attended schools there.
Mrs. Gregoey had worked at one time for the former Larkin Clothing as a seamstress. She was a communicant of St. Agnes' Church.
Her husband, Quinto Gregory, whom she married Dec. 18, 1922, died March 21, 1971.
She leaves a son, Unico "Mike" Gregory of Dalton; two daughters, Edea G. Hurley of Dalton and Deanna White of Auburn; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Margherita R. Gregory, 98, who died Sunday, March 2, 2003, will be Wednesday, March 5, at 11:15 from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Agnes' Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel Brunton.
Burial will be in the spring. Calling hours will be tomorrow, March 4, from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. The omission of flowers is requested. Memorial donations may be made to the Employee Fund of Providence Care Center of Lenox, in care of the funeral home, 890 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
