Gertrude Budnick, 86, of the Bronx, N.Y., died yesterday afternoon at home. She was the mother of Susan Zuckerman of Pittsfield.
Born in Hudson, N.Y., on May 28, 1916, daughter of Max and Anna Silverberg Greenberg, she moved to New York City as a child and attended schools there.
Mrs. Budnick was a supervisor with the New York City Bureau of Child Welfare in the Bronx until her retirement in 1980.
Her husband, Nathan Budnick, whom she married in 1939, died in 1993.
Besides her daughter, she leaves a sister, Salome Taub of the Bronx, and two grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Gertrude Budnick leaves a granddaughter, Rachel Zuckerman of New York City; a grandson, Seth Zuckerman of Osaka, Japan; her son-in-law, David Zuckerman; her sister, Salome Taub, and three nieces and two nephews.
Services will be held tomorrow, Feb. 13, at 10 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne N.Y. Arrangements are being handled by GARLICK FUNERAL HOME in New Rochelle, N.Y.
