Theresa A. Lynch, 89, of 140 Melbourne Place died yesterday at home.
Born in Pittsfield on July 19, 1913, daughter of Donato and Rosena Slodyski Durante, she moved to Lee at the age of 2 and was educated in local schools. She resided in Venice, Calif., during the 1950s and '60s, returning to Pittsfield in 1965. She had resided at Providence Court before moving to Melbourne Place in August.
Mrs. Lynch was employed by GE in the transformer division for 10 years, retiring in 1975. While in California, she was employed by Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica.
Her husband, John Lynch, whom she married in 1932, died in 1972.
She leaves two brothers, Dennis T. Durante and John L. Durante both of Pittsfield, and a sister, Catherine T. Shaw of Lanesboro.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Theresa A. Lynch, who died Dec. 27, 2002, will be Monday, Dec. 30, at 11:30 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at noon at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Lenox Dale by the Rev. Christopher J. Waitekus, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, Dec. 29, from 2 to 5.
