John Blanquart

John Blanquart, 83, of Bradford Arms Apartments died yesterday at Providence Care Center in Lenox.
Born in North Adams on July 2, 1919, son of Marie Alphonsine Blanquart, and the adopted son of August and Jeannie Blanquart, he was educated in local schools.
An Army veteran of World War II, he served with the 14th Armored Regiment.
He was employed by the Pittsfield Sanitation Department from 1948 until his retirement in 1966.
Mr. Blanquart was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. He enjoyed reading and walking.
He leaves a daughter, Sharon Weller of Schenectady, N.Y.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and his former wife, Rosemary E. Beauchine Blanquart of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- John Blanquart, age 83, died Oct. 27, 2002. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Keith L. Weller; his grandchildren, Richard T. Burrows Jr. of Pittsfield, his granddaughter and her husband, Christine A. and Tom Betit of Dalton, and Courtney A. Weller of Schenectady; and two great-grandchildren, Adam C. Burrows of Schenectady and Liam D. Betit of Dalton.
There will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at a later date. If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements.
