Theresa A. Brothers, 68

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Theresa A. Brothers, 68, of 15 Morningview Drive died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, at Berkshire Medical Center.

Born in North Adams on Dec. 1, 1933, daughter of Arduino B. and Elzina LaPan Colo, she was a 1953 graduate of Drury High School. She moved to Pittsfield in 1961.

Mrs. Brothers was employed by the former A.H. Rice Co. for 13 years as a keypunch operator, retiring in 1983. She worked at Molly's Bakery in North Adams while in high school and then at the former Sprague Electric Co. for eight years as a keypunch operator.

She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church in Pittsfield and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading and music. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, dear sister and loving grandmother.

She and her husband, Lawrence E. Brothers Jr., were married June 5, 1954, at St. Francis' Church in North Adams.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Craig A. Brothers of Stow, Ohio, and Jeffrey E. Brothers of Pittsfield; a brother, Isaac Colo of Weaverville, N.C.; two sisters, Rena Livsey and Mary Jane Scarbeau, both of Bowling Green, Ky., and four grandchildren, Alyssa, Jillian, Scott and Benjamin Brothers.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Norine Corigliano and Angela Senecal.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Brothers will be Friday, Oct. 18, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Francis Xavier Church celebrated by the Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, Oct. 17, from 6 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Church Improvement Fund in care of the funeral home.
