Shirley F. Roberts, 70, of 12 Sunnyside Drive died yesterday at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington, where she had resided since November 1999.
Born in Pittsfield on Oct. 24, 1931, daughter of Ralph and Hazel Stephens Williams, she was a 1949 graduate of the former Dalton High School.
She was employed at the former England Brothers Department Store and GE many years ago.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Dalton Congregational Church and the Dalton CRA Bowling League.
She leaves her husband, Wilfred H. Roberts, whom she married May 12, 1951; two daughters, Nancy Pero and Judy Dewey, both of Dalton; and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Shirley F. Roberts will be Saturday at 11 at the BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Dalton with the Rev. Robert Kyte, pastor of the Dalton Congregational Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery in Dalton. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4 to 7. Among survivors are her grandchildren, Laurie Pero, Joseph Dewey and Jennifer Dewey. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Fairview Commons Activity Fund in care of the funeral home at 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
