Agnes Barbara Kolbusz, 89, of 46 Madison Ave. died yesterday morning at home.
Born in Pittsfield on June 29, 1913, daughter of Stanislaw and Stephanie Kuzia Kobus, she attended local schools. She and her husband, Albert Kolbusz, owned and operated the former Tyler Cash Market for several years.
She also had been employed by GE and the former Elmvale Worsted Co. A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Mrs. Kolbusz also was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church, where she sang in the choir.
She enjoyed watching television and going out when she was able to leave her home. Her husband died in 1968. She leaves a sister, Jean B. Surowiec of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Agnes B. Kobus Kolbusz, 89, who died Sept. 26, 2002, will be Monday at 8:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Kolbusz is survived by her beloved sister, Jean B. Surowiec, and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved brothers and sister, Edmund and Stanley Kobus and Wanda Bourquard.
