Carmen Marguerite Ochs, 77, of Rose Manor died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Turgeon, Quebec, Canada, on June 27, 1925, daughter of Almord and Rose Durand Tremblay, she was a 1943 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Ochs was employed as a payroll clerk and bookkeeper at the former Royal Discount Store for several years, retiring in 1959. She also worked at Elmvale Worsted Mill and at GE during World War II.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. She leaves a son, Roger A. Ochs of Middletown, Conn.; two daughters, Susan M. Cassinelli and Jean E. Bishop, both of Pittsfield; a brother, R. Paul Tremblay of East Strossberg, Pa.; two sisters, Mignonne Gawron and Juliette Dupont, both of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A son, David J. Ochs, died in 1949.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Carmen Marguerite Ochs, who died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, was predeceased by two brothers, Marcel J. Tremblay, late of British Columbia, and Rael D. Tremblay, late of Portland, Conn. A memorial Mass for Mrs. Ochs will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 at Notre Dame Church.
There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Ochs may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
