Margaret A. Unsworth, 79, of Poppy Hill Drive, Johnston, R.I., died Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the mother of Thomas E. Unsworth of Dalton.
Born in Providence, R.I., on May 6, 1923, daughter of the late Charles J. and Anna J. White Kane, she had lived in Providence for most of her life before moving to Johnston one year ago.
Mrs. Unsworth had been a stenographer for Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Co. in Providence for 12 years until she retired. She was a communicant of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Providence. She was the wife of the late Fred J. Unsworth.
Besides her son, she leaves four daughters, Elizabeth M. Siegel of North Providence, R.I., Barbara A. Carlton of Sterling, Conn., Margaret L. Unsworth of Pembroke, and Jean M. Audino of Johnston; three sisters, Alice J. Herchen of North Providence, Dorothy P. Regan of Johnston, and Anne T. Kane of Providence, and six grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Margaret A. Unsworth will be Thursday at 7:45 a.m. from the RUSSELL J. BOYLE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 331 Smith St., Providence, R.I. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Academy Avenue, Providence.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. She was the sister of the late Charles E. Kane and Sr. Mary Zita, F.C.J.
