Marion Freehoffer

Marion L. Freehoffer, 95, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Aug. 3 at Alterra Clairbridge, an assisted-living facility in Orlando.
Born in Egremont on Jan. 18, 1907, daughter of Fredric and Charlotte Smith Eichstedt, she had resided in Pittsfield from 1921 until 1937, and from 1954 until 1972, when she moved to Clearwater, Fla. She moved to Orlando in 1991. She graduated from the former Commercial High School in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Freehoffer was employed as a bookkeeper for Berkshire Trust Co.
Her husband of 63 years, William M. Freehoffer, died in 1987.
She leaves a daughter, Ann Manley of Orlando, and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Robert W. Freehoffer, who died in 1937.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Great Barrington. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a fund for abused children at the Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families in care of Marina Pittman, 1405 South Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32806.
