PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Jeannine A. Macchi, 72, of 48 Adam St. died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 7, 1929, daughter of Anthony and Roseanna Garrant Gratton, she was a 1947 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Macchi was a supervisor in the admitting office at Berkshire Medical Center for 31 years. After her retirement in 1987, she moved to Florida for 14 years.
She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of St. Anne's Guild. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading.
She and her husband, John J. Macchi, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary March 29.
Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Kathleen Ricciarini, Julie Macchi and Bonnie Kelly, all of Pittsfield, and Debra Weathers of Tampa, Fla.; a son, John J. Macchi of Northampton; two brothers, Alphonse Gratton of Hinsdale and Stephen Gratton of Pittsfield; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial service will be held today at 10 at Notre Dame Church. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elder Services/Meals on Wheels program or HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
