Evelyn E. Coco, 87, of 180 Velma Ave. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on May 21, 1915, daughter of Gino and Fidalma Stanghini Lucaroni, she attended local schools.
She was employed by GE for 30 years, retiring from the ordnance department in 1975.
Mrs. Coco was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church.
She enjoyed traveling, cooking, raising flowers, current events and the Red Sox.
She leaves her husband, Louis P. Coco Sr., whom she married June 19, 1965, at All Souls' Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves two stepsons, Louis P. Coco Jr. of Richmond and David A. Coco of Dalton; two brothers, Camillo C. Lucaroni of Dalton and Louis Lucaroni of Santa Clara, Calif.; five step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Evelino J. Lucaroni.
The funeral will be Wednesday, July 17, at 9 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at All Souls' Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow, July 16, from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Souls' Church in care of the funeral home.
