Arlene E. Huddy

Arlene Elizabeth Huddy, 84, of 105 Ventura Ave. died Tuesday afternoon at Craneville Place in Dalton, where she had resided since May.

Born in Pittsfield on June 12, 1918, daughter of Oscar M. and Isabella Blodgett Bliss, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Huddy was employed as an assembler at General Electric for 12 1/2 years, retiring in 1980. Prior to working for GE, she was employed by Rogers Jewelers for 15 years.

She played the banjo and mandolin, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts. In her earlier years, she enjoyed horseback riding and swimming.

Her husband, Frederick G. Huddy, whom she married July 18, 1937, died April 24, 1996.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Huddy may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
