Gerard Levesque, 70, of 20 Riverview Homes died Sunday at home.
Born in St. Donat, Quebec, Canada, on Nov. 9, 1931, son of Louis and Alice Halle Levesque, he attended school there. He moved to Pittsfield in 1951.
Mr. Levesque was employed as a lumberman by the former Kelly Lumber Co. for 33 years, retiring in 1984 when the business closed.
He was a communicant of Notre Dame Church and a member of the former Franco-American Club.
He leaves three brothers, Yvon L. Levesque of Salem, N.H., Pierre Levesque of Lenox, and Marcel Levesque of Dalton; four sisters, Marie-Paul Strang of Warwick, R.I., Celine M. Polacinski of West Lebanon, N.Y., Gaetane M. Andrews of Millbrae, Calif., and Diane Dougherty of Lenox.
The funeral will be tomorrow, July 10, at 10:15 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at Notre Dame Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
