Albert J. Dambrauskas Jr., 54, of 42 Southpoint Drive, Amherst, formerly of 311 Osceola Road, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on June 16, 1948, son of Albert J. Dambrauskas Sr. and Helen Sitar Dambrauskas, he was a graduate of Piscataway (N.J.) High School. He graduated in 1970 with a degree in chemical engineering from Lafayette College, where he played football and ran track. In 1977, he received his master of business administration degree from Boston University. He moved from Hingham to Richmond in 1978.
Mr. Dambrauskas had owned and operated Berkshire Marketing Associates in Pittsfield and later in Amherst since 1985. He also had been employed by GE Plastics in Pittsfield from 1977 to 1985 and, while in Hingham, for Dow Chemical and Diamond Shamrock.
He enjoyed sailing, running, tennis and photography.
He leaves a son, Todd E. Dambrauskas of Canton; a daughter, Lindsey M. Dambrauskas of Pittsfield; a brother, Stephen Dambrauskas of New Brunswick, N.J.; two sisters, Barbara Fitzgerald of Wilbraham and Carol Burke of Metuchen, N.J., and his former wife, Paula Dosmann Dambrauskas of Richmond
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201. The funeral will be Monday at 11:15 at the funeral home, followed by a Memorial Mass at noon at St. Mark's Church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
