Rosemary Barnes

Rosemary Barnes, 54, of 730 Crane Ave. died yesterday morning at home after a long illness.
Born in Pittsfield on July 8, 1947, daughter of the Louis F. and Mary Ruscetta Talis, she was a 1965 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Barnes was employed as an inspector at Excelsior Processing and Engraving for 10 years, until she stopped working in January because of ill health. She has previously worked at GE in Pittsfield and in Schenectady, N.Y.
She had a tractor-trailer driver's license and enjoyed motorcycle riding, hot rods, crafts and gardening.
She and her husband, Edward F. "Skip" Barnes, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary June 10. They were married in Mount Carmel Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Ricky J. Barnes of Adams; two daughters, Tina Louise Henderson of Sacramento, Calif., and Tanya M. Barnes of Pittsfield; a brother, Anthony R. Talis of Monson, and a granddaughter. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles C. Talis, in 1967.
The funeral will be conducted Thursday, June 27, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME by the Rev. Charles F. Young, chaplain of HospiceCare in the Berkshires. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral will be Wednesday, June 26, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Barnes may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
