Rena Mary Vezina, 83, of 34 Michigan Ave. died Monday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Latrobe, Pa., on Aug. 11, 1918, daughter of Albert and Domenica Tonnello Strona, she attended schools inPennsylvania, Connecticut and in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Vezina was employed as a finisher at Mold Master Engineering for 13 years, retiring in 1981. She also had been employed by GE for many years and at the former Berkshire Button Co.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Pittsfield Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, reading, dancing and her family.
Her husband, Walter F. Vezina, whom she married Dec. 30, 1939, died Sept. 8, 1990.
She leaves a son, Walter F. Vezina Jr. of Pittsfield; a daughter, Lauren M. Hollibaugh of Pierce, Idaho; three sisters, Mary Trova of Norton, Albertina Smith of Bayonette Point, Fla., and Delores Beauchimen of Adams; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Victor Strona Sr., and a sister, Georgette Kennedy.
Funeral services are private. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Vezina may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
