Rose Mary Crooker, 83, of 124 Devonshire Estates died Wednesday morning at Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield.
Born in Brockton on July 12, 1918, daughter of Michael and Ann Messina Pilla, she attended Brockton schools. She moved to Lenox in September 2001.
A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing and cooking, and taught Sunday school at the Congregational Church in Brockton.
She and her husband, William L. Crooker, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Feb. 27.
Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Linda A. Strassell of Dalton and Janet R. Hewitt of Medford, Oregon; two sisters, Carmella Pilla and Gloria Tillgren, both of Brockton; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by a brother, Louis Pilla, who died in 1985.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Melrose Cemetery in Brockton. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Crooker may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
