Elmira F. Hollister, 80, of Pittsfield died Monday at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 26, 1921, daughter of Philip and Ruby Clark O'Bert, she attended local schools.
Mrs. Hollister was employed as a cosmetics department manager for several years at the former Zayre's department store.
She enjoyed watching figure skating and listening to piano music.
Her husband, Bradford Hollister, whom she married June 7, 1941, died in 1985.
She leaves a son, Brad L. Hollister of Greenville, S.C.; a daughter, Judith H. Langenback of Pittsfield; a brother, Philip L. O'Bert of Pittsfield, and two grandsons. Mrs. Hollister was predeceased by a sister, Lillian Street.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday evening at 8 in the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., with the Rev. Cory Loder officiating. Calling hours will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pittsfield Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
