Katherine Louise Dupuis, 84, formerly of 62 Churchill Crest, died Sunday at Haywood Hospital in Gardner, where she had been a patient since May 7.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 10, 1917, daughter of Paul W. and Mary Dietlin Cassavant, she was a 1935 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A self-employed antiques dealer, she owned and operated an art and antique gallery at her former home, 37 Cascade St., for many years. At one time, she had been employed by GE in the personnel and engineering departments.
Mrs. Dupuis was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She was a member and past president of the Pittsfield Art League.
Her first husband, John J. Dupuis, whom she married in 1939, died June 7, 1978.
Her second husband, Albert E. Walger, whom she married July 5, 1984, died in November 1993.
She leaves a daughter, Lynne Scace of Ocala, Fla.; a brother, Albert W. Cassavant of New Lebanon, N.Y.; a sister, Norma M. Purdy of Pittsfield; a grandson, and a great-granddaughter.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 12, at 10 at St. Mark's Church by the Rev. Henry R. Dorsch, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
