Kenneth L. Hart, 43, of Dalton Avenue died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center following a long illness.
Born in Great Barrington on Jan. 29, 1959, son of Edith Pixley Hart of Pittsfield and the late Henry A. Hart, he attended schools in West Stockbridge and Searles Middle School in Great Barrington. In 1975 he and his family moved to Pittsfield.
An outdoorsman, he enjoyed nature and fishing. He bought and repaired old motorcycles and cars. He also enjoyed making miniature model cars and other figures.
Besides his mother, he leaves a daughter, Amanda Hart of Pittsfield; a son, Kevin Hart of Pittsfield; two sisters, Kathleen Hart and April Rodman, both of Pittsfield; and three brothers, Glenn H. Hart, Robert J. Hart and Charles E. Hart, all of Pittsfield, and his longtime companion, Helen Flynn of Pittsfield.
A memorial service will be conducted Monday, June 10, from 6 to 8 at Church of Christ on Valentine Road in Pittsfield by the Rev. Russell Moody, pastor. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation through FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
