Angelina Carnevale

Angelina Carnevale, 93, of 152 Cole Ave. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Canton, N.Y., on Oct. 8, 1908, daughter of James and Marie Concolina Russo, she attended schools there and moved to Pittsfield in 1925.
Mrs. Carnevale was employed by Berkshire Place on South Street, retiring in 1994. She was first employed by the former A.H. Rice Silk Mill in 1929 and by the former Elmvale Worsted Co. for a short time. She was employed for many years by the former Berkshire Woolen Mill until it ceased operations and by Berkshire Community College in its food service department for 15 years.
She was a communicant of Mount Carmel Church and enjoyed playing cards.
Her husband, Antonio Carnevale, whom she married Aug. 16, 1928, died July 9, 1995.
She leaves a nephew, Donald J. Marra of South Weymouth, who provided for her care. Predeceased by a sister, Eva H. Marra, who died March 15, 2000, and a nephew, Carmen A. Marra, who died April 5, 2001.
The funeral will be tomorrow, June 8, at 8 from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, June 7, from 4 to 6.
