Roy W. Schlegel, 74, of 277 Bradford St. died Sunday at Kimball Farms in Lenox.
Born in Worcester on Nov. 27, 1927, son of Joseph and Alodia Williams Schlegel, he attended schools there.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
After his military service, Mr. Schlegel returned to Worcester, where he worked as a truck driver for Worcester Sand and Gravel. He moved to Pittsfield in 1992.
He leaves three sons, Jeffrey Schlegel and Frank Schlegel, both of the state of Florida, and David Schlegel of Worcester, and four brothers, Charles Schlegel of Long Island, N.Y., Herman Schlegel of Worcester, Elton Schlegel of Paxton, and Hugo Schlegel of Lenox Dale.
