Donna M. Ruhl, 71, of 1913 Sylvan Park Drive, Burlington, N.J., died yesterday at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Worcester. She was the mother of Jean E. Thompson of Pittsfield.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Feb. 23, 1931, daughter of Earl and Helen Kelly Haworth, she graduated from schools in Washington, D.C., having moved there as a young girl.
A gemologist by profession, she was employed at Kay Jewelers in Burlington for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed tending to her home and garden.
Her husband, United States Air Force Lt. Col. Robert A. Ruhl Sr., whom she married April 28, 1955, died Nov. 14, 1980.
Besides her daughter, she also leaves a son, Robert A. Ruhl Jr. of Dallas; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Calling hours at the GOES FUNERAL HOME, Willingboro, N.J., will be Friday from 4 to 7. Committal services will be Saturday at 10:45 at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Pa. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the World War II Memorial Fund in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME.
