Isabel R. O'Hearn, 93, formerly of 38 Wahconah Heights, died yesterday at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 15, 1908, daughter of Neil and Henriette Zwingelstein Newton, she spent her youth in Lenox and graduated from Lenox High School. She also graduated from the former Berkshire Business College in Pittsfield.
She was employed by the Berkshire County Retirement Board as an administrative clerk. She retired in 1974 after 20 years of service. She had first been employed by the former Eaton, Crane & Pike Co.
Mrs. O'Hearn was a communicant of St. Charles' Church.
She leaves a daughter, Frances M. Ferdyn of Pittsfield; a son, Edward N. O'Hearn of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by another great-grandson, Matthew S. Campbell.
Calling hours at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. The funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 from the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Charles' Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter A. Gregory, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to St. Charles' Church in care of the funeral home.
