Patricia Verchot

Patricia Frances Verchot, 77, formerly of Rose Manor, died Tuesday at Springside of Pittsfield.
Born in Newark, N.J., on Jan 11, 1925, daughter of Patrick Doyle and Martha Doyle Mulvihill, she came to Pittsfield when she was 5 and was a 1942 graduate of St. Joseph's High School.
Mrs. Verchot was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed volunteering at the Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Stockbridge.
Her husband, Edward L. "Ned" Verchot, whom she married Nov. 9, 1946, died Sept. 10, 1982.
She leaves two sons, Francis X. Verchot of South Easton and Edward L. Verchot of Newton; three daughters, Maureen Nicklaw of Phoenix, retired Lt. Col. Christeen Liang of Utica, N.Y., and Patricia VanDyk of Yorba Linda, Calif.; a brother, Charles Doyle of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a sister, Ria Maroney of Toms River, N.J.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:15 at the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Joseph's Church, with the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Shrine of the Divine Mercy in care of the funeral home.
