Charles H. Vickery

Charles H. Vickery, 96, of North Quidnessett Road, North Kingstown, R.I., formerly of Pittsfield, died Sunday at Scalabrini Villa in North Kingston, R.I.
Born in Pittsfield on May 17, 1905, son of Arba W. and Margaret MacDonald Vickery, he attended local schools. He also attended Clarkson University. He had resided in Tinton Falls, N.J., before moving to North Kingstown in 1996.
Mr. Vickery was vice president of sales for the former E.D. Jones Corp. for several years. He also was vice president of sales for Black Clawson Co. Inc. in Ohio, and served two years in its office in London before retiring.
An avid photographer, he exhibited several of his award-winning photographs in museums in North and South America. He had been a member of the Berkshire Museum Camera Club since 1935.
He was married first to the former Catherine M. Herlihy and then to the former Helene McInerney, both of whom are deceased.
He leaves three daughters, Ann Charlene Campisi of Ocean Park, Maine, Mary Jane Lawler of North Kingstown and Lynn M. Lanczycki of Danbury, Conn.; 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two daughters, Marcia Vickery and May Vickery.
A graveside service will be held Friday at noon at St. John Cemetery, Schaghticoke, N.Y. He was also predeceased by a sister, Mabel Mahoney. Donations in his memory may be sent to Scalabrini Villa, 860 North Quidnessett Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
