Mildred Cheevers

Mildred M. Cheevers, 95, of 1174 Tanager Road, Millersville, Md., formerly of 14 View St., died Wednesday at Heritage Harbor Health & Rehabilitation in Millersville.
Born in Great Barrington on June 19, 1906, daughter of John J. and Jeanette Linsky Guidi, she attended schools there and moved to Pittsfield as a young woman. She moved to the Annapolis, Md., area in 1999.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Cheevers was employed with the former Shandoff's Store on North Street in the 1920s.
She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church.
Her husband, former Ward 7 City Councilman Albert W. Cheevers, whom she married Feb. 6, 1928, died Feb. 13, 1995.
She leaves two sons, Albert C. Cheevers of Westfield and James W. Cheevers of Annapolis; two grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 at St. Mark's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to either the Annapolis Symphony or the Berkshire Museum, both in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
