Candace Kelley-Farakoukis

Candace Ann Kelley-Farakoukis, 49, of Pittsfield died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Maitland, Fla., on Aug. 14, 1952, daughter of Joseph T. and Dorothy Fox Kelley, she was a graduate of Miss Hall's School and of Connecticut College in New London. She also completed professional development courses through the American Institute of Banking and the State University of New York School of Advanced Commercial Lending in Buffalo.
Employed in the commercial banking industry for 22 years, she had been a vice president and field credit officer with Fleet Boston Financial in Springfield since August 2000. She was first employed with Berkshire County Savings Bank, now Berkshire Bank, then held various credit-related positions with First Agricultural National Bank and its successors, including the current Banknorth, where she served as vice president of commercial lending.
Mrs. Farakoukis was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. She served on the board of directors of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of the Berkshires and as a member of the Pittsfield Economic Redevelopment Corp. She enjoyed riding horses.
Besides her parents, of Richmond, she leaves her husband, Pamino Farakoukis, whom she married in March 1992, and a brother, Christopher Kelley of Fort Myers, Fla.
A Burial Service will be Monday, April 1, at 11 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Mary Schreiber, senior missioner of the Central Berkshire Episcopal community, officiating. Burial will be later in the spring in Richmond Cemetery. Calling hours will be Saturday, March 30, from 4 to 8 at DERY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services of the Berkshires Inc., in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
