Arttie P. Gomez, 44, of 173 Appleton Ave., died Wednesday at home.
Born in New York City on July 23, 1957, son of Julia Piar Gomez and the late Artemio Gomez, he was a 1975 graduate of Stuyvesant High School and attended Queens College in New York, majoring in math and philosophy. He moved to Northampton 17 years ago, and to Pittsfield 10 years ago.
Mr. Gomez had been employed as a glass cutter for a mirror company while in New York.
Besides his mother of Northampton, he leaves his wife, the former Diana Currier, and a sister, Carol Gomez-Feinstein of Worthington.
The funeral will be today, March 29, at 10 from DROZDAL FUNERAL HOME, 120 Damon Road, Northampton, with burial to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. An open house at the home of Patrick Austin, 124 Pomerey Ave., Pittsfield, will be held Saturday, March 30, from 1 to 3. Memorials may be made to NAMI, 333 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
