Gail L. Carver, 76, of 48 Maple Grove Drive died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Newark, N.J., on Aug. 15, 1925, daughter of Felix and Rose Cutrone Izzo, she attended schools in Flemington, N.J.
Mrs. Carver was employed as a cashier at Stop & Shop for 20 years, retiring in 1989. After her retirement, she worked as a cashier for Kraft Foods for five years.
She enjoyed knitting and tending her flower gardens.
She and husband, Charles H. Carver, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary Jan. 31.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, William C. Faria of Alexandria, Va., and Wayne D. Carver of Castleton, N.Y.; two sisters, Mary Librizzi of Kenilworth, N.J., and Rose Toth of Camp Springs, Ark.; a brother, Carl Cutrone of Kenilworth, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mrs. Carver will be held tomorrow, March 27, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, officiating. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
