Marcia P. Muir, 50, of 61 Clarendon St. died yesterday morning after a brief illness.
Born in Pittsfield on Nov. 10, 1951, daughter of Eleanor Brunelle Kinnas and the late John Kinnas, she was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Muir had been employed as a paraprofessional by the Pittsfield School Department since 1986, working with special-needs children at Crosby Elementary School and, this past year, at Reid Middle School.
She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and enjoyed camping, reading, nature and traveling.
She and her husband, Peter D. Muir, were married July 14, 1990.
Besides her husband and mother, of Pittsfield, she leaves two sons, Robert Jackson of Pittsfield and Brett Jackson of Phoenix; three brothers, John W. Kinnas, Douglas D. Kinnas and Dudley D. Kinnas, all of Pittsfield, and a sister, Bonnie A. McLaughlin of Cheshire. Her father, John Kinnas, died Feb. 3, 2001, and her brother, Wesley P. Kinnas, died Aug. 10, 2001.
Calling hours will begin at 3:30 on Tuesday at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with the funeral at 4 conducted by the Rev. Mr. William Moesley, deacon at St. Charles' Church, and calling hours continuing until 7 p.m. After cremation, burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Special Olympics in care of the funeral home.
