Lena Marie Faye

Lena Marie Faye, 93, of 49 Line St., Feeding Hills, died Monday at Country Estates Extended Care and Rehabilitation Center in Agawam, where she had resided since March 2000. She was the mother of Robert G. Faye of Dalton.
Born in Northampton on Aug. 13, 1908, daughter of Joseph and Albina Marguerite Versailles LeBeau, she was educated in schools there. She also graduated from the Northampton Business College. She had lived in Agawam for more than 50 years.
She was the manager of the cafeteria of the former Pierce Elementary School in Agawam for many years. She retired in 1972.
Mrs. Faye was a former member of Sacred Heart Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and dining with friends and family.
Her husband, Cleo C. Faye, whom she married Aug. 16, 1927, died in 1957.
Besides her son, she leaves two daughters, Dorothy R. Blokland of West Springfield and Vivian A. Govoni of Agawam; a brother, Lawrence LeBeau of Leeds; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from AGAWAM FUNERAL HOME, 184 Main St., with a Mass in St. Theresa's Church at 10. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, West Springfield. Calling hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688.
