Chester Brodalski

Chester John Brodalski, 83, of 117 Meadowview Drive died Sunday afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Adams on March 15, 1918, son of Joseph and Victoria Belch Brodalski, he was a 1936 graduate of the former Adams High School.
Mr. Brodalski was employed as a wireman, welder and quality control worker at GE in Pittsfield for 38 years, retiring in 1978.
He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of the GE Quarter Century and Pensioners' clubs. He owned and piloted his own airplane and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol.
He and his wife, the former Isabelle P. Poplawski, would have celebrated their 61st wed-ding June 21.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Ronald J. Brodalski of Southwick, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Stanley Brodalski.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:15 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by the Rev. John C. Chwalek, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Church through the funeral home.
