Marjorie A. Blake, 84, of New Freedom, Pa., formerly of Hinsdale, died yesterday at York Hospital in York, Pa., following a brief illness.
Born in Pittsfield on June 29, 1917, daughter of Jesse J. and Yvonne LaFleur Hackett, she attended local schools.
She was employed by the city of Pittsfield for many years as a city government clerk, retiring in 1982. She had moved to New Freedom six years ago.
Mrs. Blake attended the St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church in Glen Rock, Pa., and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Her first and second husbands, William F. Colbert and Donald Blake, are deceased.
She leaves a son, William E. Colbert of New Freedom; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 at St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Church, 11894 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, Pa., with the Rev. Richard E. Jorgensen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no viewing. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 10 to 11 at the church. The GEIPLE FUNERAL HOME INC., 53 Main St., Glen Rock, Pa., is in charge of arrangements.
