Michael William Felix, 54

September 10, 2025

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Michael William Felix, 54, of Pittsfield, died on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center due to complications of an infection.

He was born in North Adams on Jan. 10, 1971, a son of the late Allan David Felix Sr. and of Sarah Marion Harrington Felix Perry.

Michael attended schools in North Adams and graduated in 1990 from Drury High School, where he was an accomplished athlete. Peers describe him as one of the purest, three-sport athletes Drury High School has seen. He was an integral player of the Super Bowl Championship football team, State Championship baseball team, and the two-time Western Mass Championship basketball team.

Michael went on to attend American International College on a baseball full scholarship. He was a member of the Army National Guard and served as a Eucharistic minister of Notre Dame/St. Thomas Aquinas Parish in Adams. He later worked at Williams College in the Buildings and Grounds Department until a back injury left him disabled. It was then that his life changed and he became a victim of substance-use disorder.

Michael leaves his daughter, Jacinta Maria Moulton Felix of Stamford, Vt., and his former wife, the mother of his children, Maria Moulton of Stamford. He was predeceased by his daughter Alison Marie Moulton Felix in 2024. He also leaves his brother and sister, Allan David Felix Jr. of Pittsfield, and Lisa (Felix) Barros of Elizaville, N.Y., and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish. Loved Mike more than words! I grew up near him and legit idolized him at Johnson School playground! He had the Guess Jeans and the Jordan’s and was best athlete and best with the girls! He was best athlete ever around here! Over years we struggled together and got very close! Lived together in Boston and went to same church! Hope he’s in better place and wish I could have said good bye! Love you buddy! RIP
